Monthly meetup to socialize and speak German.
In 2009, I was new to the area and wanted to create a community. I lived in Germany and speak fairly fluent German. I was no longer using the language professionally and missed the interaction. I decided to form a group of German speakers in the Fair Lawn, Ridgewood and surrounding areas, to meet once every month or so, on a weekday evening. I welcome the opportunity to meet like-minded people, both native and non-native speakers. We do in fact speak German when we meet, so please be prepared.
The "Kaffeklatsch" started years ago as a group of German Speaking moms meeting to speak German and have their children play with other German kids.
